Join sound designer Peter Storm With and film editor Anne Østerud as they take you on a journey in the making of the sound design for “Families Like Ours,” a 2024 series, directed by Thomas Vinterberg, which had its world premiere at the Venice Biennale 2024.
Set in Denmark, in a not-too-distant future. The rising water levels can no longer be ignored and the country needs to be evacuated.
The entire Danish population is turned into homeless refugees.

We embark on the journey from the start of an idea in the picture edit to the finished work on the mixing stage.
A collaborative talk about how scenes evolve through sonic storytelling.
Peter and Anne will showcase examples of how it all started and how it came together in the end—from initial ideas that began with a simple sound to scenes that were completely transformed.
