About me
Florian is a post-production sound engineer for TV with more than three decades under his belt working for ORF - the Austrian public broadcaster. He started out in documentaries (location sound, sound design, mixing), recording and mixing ORF's first surround sound documentary in 1994. In 2010 he became the chairman of the EBU Loudness group PLOUD which has now published 10 documents helping broadcasters to navigate in the loudness world. Never abandoning his true love surround sound location recording, Florian developed a dedicated 9-channel location microphone configuration (Double UFIX). Nature recordings like Thunderstorms and Hail are what keeps Florian (and the microphones) excited!
